Baires staff was very friendly, helpful and efficiant. The location is excellent, with great access to La Rambla, Beach, Subway, in old town, many restaurants, it is clean, very friendly, and excellent value for the money.

Great location. Near the center and the beach a lot of bars around. Small room, but clean. Something to eat for breakfast. Highly recommended!
Everything was fine. Only unpleasant night receptionist.

The good thing was the bed was comfortable and the room was kept clean
Miserable staff members who didn't want to make any effort to help. In particulR a grumpy old man who coveted the night shift. They charged 6 euros to do waahing but I had to go and fetch it myself from the laundry. The breakfast table had old sticky covers tjat looked 100 yes old, I wouldn't recommend this hostel unless really really budgrting.

Very good location and price! During the day time good man, with good english knowledge at the reception.
Differ from the photos of the site. There is no room isolation, so be ready to hear everything what is going in the nearest rooms. During evening the receptionist doesn't know english so its difficult to connect if you have late arrivals.

The free wi fi
Got mugged outside place by a man. Lost my wallet. 2 tramps sleeping outside 2nd door. Guy on desk when checked in couldn't speak english. Rooms never cleaned. Shower no hook to hang. In a shocking part of town with pickpockets rife. Baires website pic and reality are 2 different things. Duped!

The room was fair, the bathroom was clean.Location is very good, subway/beach/shopping street is close, train station is only two subway stops away.
I just missed a coffee machine. 2 out of three receptionists did not speak English and during football match the staff was unavailable...

Hotel/Hostel was decent standard, friendly/helpful staff and close to both The Rambles & the Beach.

Location is good, next to the seafront.
You can hear the noise from the street in the night. The bed in a single room was awfully old and unstable - I cannot even imagine how bad it would be to stay there for a couple..

Exterior a little grotty. However, the interior is very clean and well looked after. Excellent location.

Location was good. And the price clean room serviced daily
Staff could be more friendly. Bathroom facilities require upgrade. Kitchin dining area too small for guests to sit and enjoy breakfast.

Fantastic value for money - hotel room was clean and well-appointed with good bathroom and very helpful reception staff. Location was handy for all the sights as well. Had a great stay - thank you!
A bit noisy due to fellow guests shouting in the corridors and stairways but not the hotel's fault. Breakfast 8-11 which may be a bit late for some travellers.

Well located, reasonable price
Rather old building; no TV in room

We wanted somewhere clean comfortable and warm to go back to after a long day of sightseeing. The only thing that was not available would be a tv but we did not want this facility. The use of tea/coffee facilities would have been good although there was a cold drinks machine available. Breakfast was continental style and there was more than enough food available to eat. We plan on going to Barcelona again to finish the rest of the sightseeing that we missed this time and are definately going to book the Hostal Baires again. It is basic and it is a hostal but we would totally recommend it ;)

Superb location, close to everything (pubs, shops, harbor, subway) a little further beach. Nice service but ... only during the day.
Unkempt room, very dirty cover from the shower, the specific smell of mildew. Very loud. I heard every word from the street. Antipathetic night porter, speaking only in Spanish. So If you just want to party in Barcelona these things will not distrub you, but if you come not only do not recommend. On the Polish side of Booked.net rooms are described as elegant and simple. Elegant this is big joke...
